Joel joined Matrix Applications as a Compliance Intern shortly after his graduation from New Jersey Institute of Technology in May 2025 with a BS in Information Technology. Throughout his academic journey, he has gained hands-on experience in Python, SQL and PHP, which have equipped him with the technical proficiency to tackle complex problems and develop innovative solutions. He is passionate about database management and is eager to expand his knowledge in compliance, where he can find new opportunities to apply his technical expertise, continue learning, and make meaningful contributions to Information Technology.

Shortly after joining Matrix Applications, Joel obtained his CompTIA Security+ Certification. The certification is a globally recognized credential that endorses foundational skills in cybersecurity. It is designed for IT professionals who seek to demonstrate their ability to secure networks, systems and data against threats.
Commenting on his certification, Joel said: “I am excited to have earned my CompTIA Security+ certification. This strengthens my understanding of security fundamentals, risk management and compliance requirements. I hope to use this knowledge to better support the company in protecting data, improving security awareness and aligning with industry standards and regulatory expectations.”
