Matrix Applications is proud to announce the successful completion of our annual office food drive in collaboration with our affiliates, South Street Securities, AmeriVet Securities and GX2 Systems. We’d like to thank our employees and partners for their overwhelming contribution to help eliminate hunger in New York City. As our latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiative, this event gave us the opportunity to give back to our community by donating to New York Common Pantry.
We collected 500 food items (approximately 400 pounds!), spanning from canned tuna and chicken to soup, peanut butter and vegetables. In comparison to last year, we donated 3x more items!
Hosting an office food drive is one of the many ways our team strives to make a tangible difference by banding together. This joint initiative across companies was organized by Colleen Judge, Wimie Hsieh and Avon Yan.
Our partnership with New York Common Pantry would not have been successful without the generous contributions from our colleagues and partners. We'd like to give a special shoutout to our largest donors!

The New York Common Pantry offers a variety of programs to reduce hunger and food insecurity in the community, with a whole-person approach that goes beyond just providing food. The organization offers nutritious food packages, hot meals and supplemental food for seniors. They provide case management services to help visitors gain access to resources and connect homeless individuals to resources through Project Dignity. The organization also offers case management services to address the root causes of food insecurity and education through their Live Healthy! program, which teaches children and adults about nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
